INTERAC DMS is not an external add-on to the INTERAC applications; it is tightly integrated with the full suite of INTERAC applications. The only third-party requirement is the universal Acrobat Reader used to view PDF documents. 
DMS Features:
· Any INTERAC reports or printouts may be printed and/or sent directly into DMS in the same print process.
· Source documents from outside the system can also be scanned into DMS.
· Existing PDF files can be added into DMS without re-scanning.
· DMS provides complete integration of documents with INTERAC Data files.
· This integration allows the association and cross-association of documents to a specific record within the INTERAC record database.
· When documents are scanned or added, a title, source, time stamp, and keywords are assigned to facilitate search capabilities, making documents easy to locate.
· The DMS system categorizes and stores these documents in a database for easy and efficient  retrieval.
· External documents can be scanned and associated with a record at the time of data entry, or at a later time.
· In addition to creating the PDF files, documents can be e-mailed directly from DMS.
· Documents can be viewed, printed, and e-mailed from INTERAC DMS.
· Document retention settings control how long files are held in the database before being archived or purged.
· Document links can be queried and imported into Excel using the Visual Link ODBC connection.
· INTERAC Job Stream can be used to automate the creation of PDFs.
· Archiving allows documents to be stored off-line or in an archived database.
