Text Box: Application Overview The INTERAC Payroll System (PR) is a comprehensive payroll application, which provides for complete payroll processing in addition to tracking and distributing labor information to other INTERAC products.  Special features include: · Tracks income, taxes and deduction data per employee for federal, state, and local requirements. · Complete multi-state capabilities for all 50 states, including state reciprocity. · User-defined local tax calculations. · Provides for direct depositing of paychecks, with up to three bank accounts per employee. · Positive pay feature interfaces with banks to help prevent check fraud. · Processing of union payrolls for dues, benefit accruals, and union reporting. · Handles certified payroll processing, including reports. · Worker’s Compensation calculated by individual employee or by type of work performed. · On-screen tax calculation facilitates producing manual checks. · Simultaneous entry of labor cost and equipment revenue during time card entry. · Provides for 99 user-defined earning codes to handle items such as bonuses, benefits, etc. · Provides for 99 user-defined deduction codes to handle items such as 401K retirement plans, Section 125 Cafeteria plans, and garnishments. · Alternate Rate File allows pay rates (both regular and overtime) based on state, locality, union, job classification, job, phase, or department. · Alternate Deduction File allows deductions based on union, job, or job classification. · Prints complete laser or pre-printed checks. · Prints laser forms W2, 1099, 940, 941, and 943. · Magnetic media reporting is available for W2 and 1099 forms. · Flexible state quarterly reporting, including magnetic media filing. · Interfaces with INTERAC Document Management for scanning, storing, and retrieval of checks, and other employee/HR related documentation. · Interfaces with Cash Manager to provide up-to-date detail disbursement information for a complete analysis of cash. · Multiple report design programs to produce virtually any type of report using data from Payroll and interfacing     applications. · Interfaces with INTERAC Equipment Cost, General Ledger, Job Cost, Document Management System, Cash  Manager, and Bank Reconciliation.
